Fall’s breathtaking spectacle of colors has left the building, and that’s our reminder that winter is just around the corner.

For RVers, this means it's time to prepare your beloved rig for winter storage. To help you with this transition, we've compiled a comprehensive Fall Checklist to ensure your RV stays in excellent condition and is ready for Spring journeys.

Winterization: Northern Ontario winters can be harsh, so it's crucial to winterize your RV, including flushing lines with non-toxic antifreeze, draining the fresh and grey water tanks, and protecting the plumbing system from freezing temperatures.

General Inspection: Conduct a thorough interior and exterior inspection, and check propane tanks, appliances, alarms/detectors, water lines, mechanicals, and seals to ensure everything is in working order.

Inventory: Take inventory of your RV, remove perishable items, check your pantry for expired food, and make a list of what needs restocking in the spring.

Rodent Management: Prevent unwanted guests over the winter by sealing any openings where rodents might enter, and consider placing repellents in and around your RV.

Clean and Organize: Give your RV a good cleaning, inside and out. This maintains its appearance and prevents mildew or mold growth during the winter months. Organize your belongings and make sure everything is securely stowed away.

Battery Care: Disconnect the battery or invest in a battery maintainer to keep it charged during the winter.

By completing this fall checklist, you'll safeguard your RV and ensure it's ready to hit the road as soon as spring arrives. Don't let winter sneak up on you – prepare your RV now for a stress-free start to the next camping season.
